Public Safety

 

Every year, the Public Safety staff is recertified in American Heart Association CPR/AED.  This covers Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as well as the correct way to use the Automated External Defibrillation (AED) which we carry in the patrol vehicle.  Our certified instructor is our Public Safety Captain, Adam Greco.

Our security personnel are certified Healthcare Providers on a Basic Life Support level. This training allows our staff to properly treat various emergencies and we are able to provide medical care prior to the arrival of outside EMS (Emergency Medical Services) agencies.

This covers:

1) Adult, Child and Infant CPR

2) Adult, Child and Infant Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (Choking)

3) Automated External Defibrillation (*Note: The AED can not be used on a child or Infant)

4) Adult, Child and Infant Rescue Breathing

5) Anatomy and Physiology in regards to CPR

6) First-Aid (Burns, Lacerations, Shock, Trauma ..etc.)
